Alan L. Stubbendick was born on March 10, 1943 in Nebraska City, Nebraska to Ralph and Ruth (Wessel) Stubbendick. He passed away on Thursday December 22, 2011 at home in Avoca, Nebraska at the age of 68 years, 8 months and 12 days.

Alan was baptised on Aprl 11, 1943 and was confimed on April 14, 1957 at the First Lutheran Church (North Branch). Alan married Gerri Beers at the United Methodist Church in Syracuse on March 6, 1964. To this union they raised 4 children. Alan was a farmer all of his life and also worked for the Cass County Department of Roads for over 20 years. He was involved with the Avoca Fire Department, National Farmers Organization, and First Lutheran Church (North Branch) Church Council. He enjoyed Boating, Nascar and being with his grandchildren.

Alan is survived by his Wife: Gerri Stubbendick of Avoca, NE, Father: Ralph & Jane Stubbendick of Braddyville, IA, Children: Bruce Stubbendick of Lincoln, NE, Jill Nosal of Murray, NE, Loren & Andrea of Unadilla, NE, Lisa & Nate Bell of Broken Bow, NE, Grandchildren: Marissa Nosal, Madalynne & Nicole Stubbendick, Lucas & Logan Bell, Sister: Sherry & Roger Ross of Otoe, NE, Sisters-in-law: Ima Gene Mason, Shirley Beers, Bev & Chuck Bjork.

Preceded in Death By: Mother Ruth, Sister Peggy. 3 Brothers-in-law: Dale Mason, Don Beers, Lynn Wilhelm, Parents-in-law Jim & Edna Beers.

Funeral Services will be Tuesday December 27, 2011 at 10:30 A.M. at the First Lutheran Church (North Branch) with burial in the First Lutheran Cemetery, Rural Avoca, Nebraska. The family suggests memorials to the First Lutheran Church or the Avoca Town Hall.

Visitation will be Monday December 26 from Noon until 9 P.M. with family greeting friends from 6 until 8 P.M. at the funeral home.
