Allen Vaughn Kelsay  was born July 19, 1933 to Otis and Monta (Smith) Kelsay in Peru, Nebraska.  He died on Tuesday, February 26, 2019 at Country House in Omaha, Nebraska  at the age of 85 years, 7 months, and 7 days.

He served his country by being in the United States Army.  He married Joan (Boeck) Kelsay on April 6, 1958 in Humboldt, Nebraska.  Allen worked for OPPD for over 30 years in many capacities. Joan, Allen and their family had many memorable moments through their life together. He loved his family and especially his grandchildren who could be heard saying "Papa can fix it". He was a hard-working, faithful husband and father as well as an avid outdoorsman and sports enthusiast, a member of the Humboldt Volunteer Fire Department, Louisville Rod and Gun Club, and Plattsmouth Veterans of Foreign Wars.

Allen is survived by his wife Joan of Omaha, NE, son Scott (Connie) Kelsay, of Union, NE, daughter Tracy (Greg) Frerichs, of Omaha, NE, 5 grandchildren, Matthew, Emma, Ethan, and Mary Frerichs and Nathan Kelsay, and 3 sisters Judy (Ralph) Weile, of Roca, NE, Sharol (Ray) Scholl of Rapid City, SD, and Carol Gurney, of Lawrence, KS.

He was preceded in death by his parents. Two brothers, Vernon Leroy Kelsay and Olin Kelsay, sister Joyce Wiltse, and niece Kelly Wiltse.

Date & Hour of Funeral Service: Saturday, March 2 ^nd at 11:00 A.M. at Immanuel Lutheran Church, 36712 Church Road, Louisville, NE. Burial at Immanuel Lutheran Cemetery. Memorials are suggested to Alzheimer's Association.

Visitation: Friday, March 1 ^st from 1-9 P.M. with family present from 6-8 at the Fusselman-Allen-Harvey Funeral Home in Louisville. (413 Elm Street, Louisville, NE  402-234-3985)
