Obituary

Andrew Carl Seybert, Jr. was born on August 26, 1924 in Dunbar, NE to Della (Wright) and Andrew Seybert, Sr. He passed away on Sunday, April 17, 2011 at Tabitha Healthcare Nursing Home in Lincoln, Nebraska at the age of 86 years, 7 months and 21 days.

Andy graduated from the Otoe School and enlisted into the U.S. Navy serving during World War II as a gunner on an escort destroyer. After returning from the Navy, he was united in marriage to Eula Stoner on June 4, 1946 in Hiawatha, Kansas, together they were blessed with five children, Corky, Terry, Randy, Nancy and Diane Kay who died in infancy.

In his civilian life, he worked as a plasterer and was widely known for his talent. He had an artistic ability and accomplished work, others would not attempt. He loved to fly owning several planes. He flew for coyote hunters, took aerial photos, was a quick means of transportation when needed and even transported a grandfather clock. When he knew he needed to retire, he sold insurance and homes for the Davidson Agency in Nebraska City for many years.

Andy was a member of the Masons, Eagles Club in Nebraska City, American Legion and V.F.W., he enjoyed fishing and flying.

He is survived by his Wife: Eula Seybert of Lincoln, NE; Children; Corky Roth and husband Lonnie of Lincoln, NE; Terry Seybert and wife Bea of Lincoln, NE; Randy Seybert of Lincoln, NE; Nancy Dunbar and husband Gale of Hallam, NE; 8 Grandchildren; 10 Great Grandchildren; Brother; Ralph Seybert and wife Lois of Willmar, MN; 2 Sisters; Lois Wiebusch of Lincoln, NE; Janis Burbee of San Tan Valley, AZ. Also survived by other relatives and friends.

He was preceded in death by his Parents, Infant Daughter, Diane Kay; brother, Dale

Memorial Services will be held on Wednesday, April 20, 2011 at 1:00 P.M. at Fusselman-Allen-Harvey Funeral Home in Syracuse, NE with Rev. Hugo Westphalia officiating.

Military Honors will be rendered by the U.S. Naval Reserve Center.

No Visitation or Viewing.

Burial will be at a later date in the Otoe Cemetery in Otoe, Nebraska
