Anna Ellig age 93, of Cook, Nebraska, who passed away at Belle Terrace, in Tecumseh, NE on Monday, May 18, 2009. She is survived by her daughter Carolyn Pojar, of Lincoln, NE, daughter & son-in-law Diane & Rodney Roesener, of Cook, NE, daughter & son-in-law Nancy & Bruce Gerking, of Burr, NE, 8 grandchildren, 9 great grandchildren, and extended family Jerry Shafer & Paul Straube
Anna was born November 8, 1915, in rural Pickerill, to John and Grace (Leners) Carstens. She married Fred Ellig, in Kansas, on April 4, 1940. She was a member of Hope Lutheran Church, Burr, NE, she loved to Quilt, making hand made Doll Clothes, and loved to Cook, Bake Bread. She was a Farmers Wife who's job description was that she had to run for Parts, Drive Farm Truck, and help with planting and harvest.
Anna is preceded in Death by: her parents, husband Fred (1974), 4 brothers, and 3 sisters.
Graveside Services will be Friday, May 22, 2009 at 2:00 P.M., at Hope Lutheran Cemetery, Burr, NE, followed by a Memorial Funeral Service on Friday, May 22, 2009 at 2:30 P.M. at Hope Lutheran Church, Burr, Nebraska
