April Ann Stanley-Murphey, 52, passed away on January 20, 2026. She was a loving wife, mother, grandma, aunt & devoted sister. A very dear friend to many.

Born in Lincoln, NE on October 6, 1973, April lived a life filled with love, laughter, kindness & loss. April is known & remembered for her warm smile, gentle demeanor, and her unwavering generosity for others.

In her free time, April enjoyed spending her time at Eagle Raceway, watching the KC Chiefs & cheering on the Huskers. She loved cooking & when you couldn’t find her, she’d be front & center singing karaoke or playing spoons.

April found joy in simple moments spent with family and friends & you could always count on her to be there.

April will be dearly missed by her husband Jake. Her children Haley (Reagan) Dalton, Zane Stubbendeck, Kamdyn & Kallie Murphey. Her siblings, Sherry (Leonard) Harper, Angel (Scott) Butts, Carl (Kris) Stanley, grandsons Maverick & Marshall, Mimi (Alice) Johnson, niece & nephews, extended family and friends.

She touched the lives of so many & will be remembered for her kindness, compassion & gentle spirit.

April was welcomed to heaven by her parents, Phyllis & Robert Stanley, pop-pop (Lyle) Johnson, & other extended family & loved ones.

A celebration of life will be held on Saturday, January 31st from 5 p.m. until 7 p.m. at Trackside Bar in Waverly.

Memorials are suggested to the family for later designation.
