Arlene Sophie (Beckfield) Liesemeyer was born August 4th, 1926 in Syracuse, NE, the daughter of William and Bessie (Burr) Beckfield. Arlene passed away August 27, 2016 at the age of 90.

Arlene married Victor Liesemeyer March 28th, 1943 at Christ Lutheran Church in Syracuse, NE. They lived on the farm near Syracuse where she was born until 1981 when they moved to Syracuse.

Arlene was a homemaker. She was also a member of St. John's UCC of Syracuse and the Women's Fellowship.

Arlene is survived by son: Gary (Sharon) Liesemeyer of Syracuse; Grandchildren: Jill (Tyler) Evans of Olathe, KS, Gregory (Natilee) Liesemeyer of Castle Rock, CO; Great grandchildren: Taylor & Logan Evans, Myles & Marlowe Liesemeyer; Sister-in-law: Leila Kruse.

She was preceded in death by husband Victor and her parents.

Funeral service will be held at St. John's United Church of Christ, Syracuse, NE on Monday August 29th at 10:30 A.M.

Visitation will be held Sunday August 28th from 1 P.M. until 9 P.M. with family greeting friends from 6:30 to 8 P.M. at the funeral home.

Memorials are suggested to St. John's UCC.
