Arva was born August 27, 1925, in rural Unadilla, Nebraska, to Arthur and and Ida (Siepelmeier) Wallen. She passed away, Friday June 5, 2009, at Good Samaritan Center, in Syracuse, Nebraska, at the age of 84 years, 9 months, and 9 days.

Arva married Jim Royal, on January 9th, 1945, and to this union the raised Donita, Linda, and Richard. She enjoyed ceramics, painting, drawing. Arva also worked in the fields with her husband Jim for many years on their farms.

Arva is survived by her daughters and sons-in-law Donita Hallowell and husband Allen, of Palmyra, Nebraska, Linda Boyce and husband Jerry, of Lincoln, Nebraska, son and daughter-in-law Richard Royal and Rosan, 8 grandchildren 10 great grandchildren, sister Helen Luff, of Unadilla, Nebraska, also survived by many other relatives and friends.

Arva is preceded in death by her parents, grandson James Boyce, and husband James Royal, Jan. 14, 2009

Funeral Mass, Monday, June 8, 2009, at 10 A.M., at St. Paulinus Catholic Church, with burial at Park Hill Cemetery. Family suggest Memorial to St. Paulinus Catholic Church.
