Barbara "Barb" A. Miesbach, 90, of Syracuse, passed away on September 20, 2025, at the Syracuse Good Samaritan Center. She was born on January 22, 1935, in Burr, to Louis W. and Mary C. (Eisenhauer) Neemann.
Barb grew up in Burr and graduated from Burr High School in 1953. On May 2, 1955, she was united in marriage to Theodore "Ted" Miesbach at the Hope Lutheran Church in Burr.
For 31 years, Barb worked in the Syracuse High School office, during which she touched the lives of countless students, parents, and colleagues. Beyond her career, she was actively involved in her community and church. Barb was a member of the American Legion Auxiliary and Luther Memorial Church, where she sang in the choir, taught Sunday School and volunteered by delivering bulletins. She also helped with her daughters' activities as a Brownie & Girl Scout Leader and with 4-H. In addition, she delivered Meals on Wheels, served on the Germanfest Advisory Committee and worked with Ted on various woodworking crafts. In her later years, Barb faithfully went to the fitness center—not only to exercise but also to spend time visiting with her coffee group.
Barb is survived by her daughters, Babette (Dan) McWilliams and Roxanne Suesz; honorary daughter Julie "Steinhoff" Reineke; grandchildren Jaclyn (Phil) Kachaturian, Justin (Nicole) McWilliams, Jamie (Zach) Woods, Rachel (Jeff) McNaught, Tyler Suesz, and Samuel (Marisa) Suesz; great-grandchildren Kambry and Kylee Kachaturian, Nathan, Hannah, Hailey, and Jacob McWilliams, Levi, Dylan, and Ruby Woods, Mason and Beckett McNaught, and Konnor and Emma Suesz; sister Irma Miesbach; sister-in-law Clarice Neemann; as well as many nieces, nephews, and friends.
