Bernard R. White was born on April 30, 1928 in Bennet, Nebraska to Raymond E. and Gladys (Mannschreck) White. He passed away on August 13, 2008 in Tecumseh, Nebraska at the age of 80 years, 3 Months and 13 Days.

He was a life long farmer in Otoe and Johnson Counties. He was united in marriage on June 28, 1949 to Mary Lou Mettelberg at St. Leo's Catholic Church in Palmyra, Nebraska. They moved to Cook in 1952 were they farmed and raised their family.

Bernard is survived by Daughters: Patti Kruse and husband Fred of Eage, NE; Kris Ebeler and husband Chuck of Tecumseh, NE; Sons: Doug White and wife Gail of Valley, NE; Dave White and wife Nita of Denton, NE; 10 Grandchildren; 6 Great Grandchildren, Sister: Aileen Pryatel of Corning, CA; Uncle: Chris Mannschreck of Aurora, CO; Also survived by nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

Funeral Mass will be held on Saturday, August 16th at 10:30 A.M. at St. Paulinus Catholic Church in Syracuse, Nebraska with Father Michael Stec officiating.

Interment will be in the Cook Cemetery.

Rosary Service will be Friday, August 15th at 5:30 P.M. at the Funeral Home.

Visitation will be Friday, August 15th from 10:00 A.M. until the time of the Rosary. The family will greet friends following the Rosary.
