Bernice M. Roberts, of Lincoln, formally of Unadilla, NE passed away on January 21, 2013 in Lincoln, Nebraska at the age of 86 years, 5 months and 24 days. She was born on July 28, 1926 in Otoe, Nebraska to John & Rebecca (Bruns) Martens.

Bernice married Allen Dwight Roberts on March 21, 1946 at the Methodist Church in Syracuse, Nebraska and to this union they had 3 children Bruce, Denice and Diane. Bernice worked at the Pharmacy in Syracuse until moving to Lincoln where she worked at the Nebraska Heart Hospital in Dietary.

She was a member of the Eastern Star and sang with the Sweet Adeline's Barber Shop Choir. She was also a Member of Hopewell Church where she was an elder and sang in the choir. She also enjoyed playing the piano.

Bernice is survived by Husband Allen Dwight Roberts, Son Bruce & wife Janet, Daughters Denice Wearne & husband David, Diane Fichthorn & husband Dutch, Grandchildren Jennifer & Rex Miller, Melanie Fichthorn & Fiancé Andrew Rasmussen, Elizabeth Fichthorn, Great Grandchild Gavin, Brother Ralph Martens Sr.

She was preceded in death by her parents.

Funeral Services will be held Thursday January 24, 2013 at 2:00 P.M. at St. John's United Church of Christ in Syracuse, Nebraska with Rev. John Finster officiating.

Visitation will be Wednesday January 23, 2013 from Noon until 9 P.M. with family greeting friends from 6 until 8 P.M. at the funeral home.

Burial will be at Park Hill Cemetery.
