Berniece A. Janssen age 82, of Lincoln, NE, formerly of Crete, and Burr, passed away 4-4-2011 at her home. She was born May 24, 1928, on the Farm near Burr, NE,
to Henry & Anna (Spanjer) Holscher.

Berniece was Baptized and confirmed at Hope Lutheran Church, Burr, NE. She Graduated from Burr High School in 1945. She married Lloyd Janssen in 1951, that marriage dissolved in 1983. Berniece worked 11 years at Elgin Watch factory in Lincoln, Bookkeeper for Lincoln General Tire Co., Strauss Bros. Construction, 10 1/2 years for Stutheit Impl. in Syracuse, NE. She loved to Bowl, Fish, and Hunt, including 4 fishing trips to Harmon Lake in Ontario, Canada, with Lloyd and Fran & Anne White. After retiring she took quite a few bus trips. Loved to "Go See". Retirement found her doing Wood Crafts, and there are quite a few wooden Banks and Husker Herby lawn ornaments scattered around Southeast Nebraska, the last few years she loved to quilt.

Berniece is survived By her Great-niece, Cynthia Lou Parks & husband Robert of Fremont, NE. Berniece took Cindy and her brother David into her home when they were 15 & 13 after their mother was killed in an accident. She has been the only mother they knew for the last 49 years. David passed away several years ago.

She is preceded in Death by Parents, Two sisters: Wilma & Gladys, brother: Gordon and great-nephew David Addison.
