Bette J. Moller, 68 of Douglas, passed away at home on January 3, 2025. She was born on August 10, 1956, to Walter "Jake" Henry & Frances Mary (Houseman) Harms in Syracuse. Bette graduated from Syracuse High School in 1974 and later attended the Clarkson School of Nursing in Omaha, graduating in 1977. While in college, she married Joe Moller on December 18, 1976, at St. Martin's Catholic Church in Douglas.

Bette worked as a registered nurse, beginning her career at the Beatrice Hospital before becoming a visiting nurse for Tabitha. She spent the last 28 years of her career at Brookside (Homestead Rehab).

Bette's life was one filled with service. She was an EMT on the Douglas Rescue Squad for 34 years, as well as being an active member of St. Martin's Altar Society. She loved going to the family lake to camp and fish and especially loved trips to Colorado in the fall. Her favorite place to visit was the Grand Tetons. Most importantly in Bette's life were her children, grandchildren and grand dogs. She was her grandchildren's biggest fan at all their activities.

Bette is survived by her husband Joe Moller, and their son, Brian and wife Dayme Moller and their son Jaxon Moller. Their daughter, Kim and her husband Duane Harris and their children Maddy Harris and Mya Harris. Their foreign exchange daughter Ester and her husband Matt Hill and their sons Isaac & Toby. As well as her sisters, Kay Harms, Carol "Susie" Perry, and her special friend, Dave Kenney. In addition, her sister in-laws, Shirley Condon, Lorraine, and her husband Marvin Kohout.  Along with her mother-in-law, Marilyn Brennan.  As well as many nieces, nephews and friends.

She was preceded in death by her father Walter "Jake" Henry Harms and her mother Frances (Houseman) Harms.  Her father-in-law, Kenneth D. Moller, step father-in-law Keith A. Brennan, brother-in-laws Larry G. Moller, Tom E. Perry and Jim Condon.

A funeral mass will be held on Tuesday, January 7th at 10:00 a.m. at St. Martin's Catholic Church in Douglas. Private burial will be held at St. Martin's Catholic Cemetery with a luncheon to follow.

Visitation with family will be held on Monday, January 6th from 5-7 p.m. with the rosary to follow at 7 p.m. all at St. Martin's Catholic Church in Douglas.

In lieu of flowers, memorials are suggested to St. Martin's Catholic Church or Douglas Rescue.
