Betty J. Dressen, 92 of Syracuse, was born on September 9, 1933, in Mora, Missouri, to Mr. & Mrs. Walter Viebrock. She was baptized and confirmed at St. Paul’s Lutheran Church in Cole Camp, MO.

In 1973, they returned from Africa and arrived in Talmage, where her husband was called as a pastor. They lived in Talmage until retirement and then moved to Syracuse.

She passed away on June 28, 2026, at the Syracuse Good Samaritan Center. She was preceded in death by her parents and husband. She is survived by nieces, nephews and coworkers from the missionary community and by many faithful members of her church.
