Betty McFarland was born to Thomas and Vinita (Moro) McFarland on May 9, 1927 in St. Louis, Missouri. She died at the Care Community in Louisville, Nebraska on June 4, 2018 at the age of 91 years, 26 days.

Betty was raised Baptist. She was a cashier first at S.S. Kresge Company, then at K Mart. Betty took care of her grandparents for many years until their death. As her health began failing, she joined her nephew Wayne McFarland's family in Louisville, Nebraska.  She enjoyed being part of their family activities.  Betty enjoyed music by Elvis.  She was well liked by people that got to know her during her time in Louisville.

Betty is survived by many relatives - Dear sister of Joan Lee Taylor, Donald Taylor , Joyce (the late Fred) Wakefield and the late Thomas  Eugene McFarland, Shirley Ann (Robert) Ruhl, Mary  Alice  (surviving Donald " Peanuts") Ippert, Virginia (Tom)  Iredale, Bill  Oliphant and Gary Oliphant; our dear aunt and friend.
