Betty Jane Yant
January 21, 1948 – July 17, 2025

Betty J. Yant (Massahos), 77, of Lincoln, passed away July 17, 2025. Born January 21, 1948 in Munich, Germany. She was raised in Wilber, Nebraska by Inez (Shimerda) and Eddie Broz. Her death was the result of pulmonary/cardiac complications.

Betty was happily married to Roger Yant for 38 years (1987). Combined they had 6 children, 12 grandchildren, and 2 great-grandchildren. Three children were raised in Friend, Nebraska, from her union with Rudolph A. Homolka (1966).

Survived by husband Roger; children: Seth Yant (Lori), Mitchell Homolka (Tammy), Karie Etter (Jeff), Eric Homolka (Tiffany), Roger Yant, Jr. (Kelly), and Ananda Kyle (Kenny). Grandchildren: Sawyer Yant, Colton and Calen Homolka, Kyle and Braden Dey, Zach (Amy) and Caleb Homolka, Cotter and Bellamy Yant, Bryson Kniss (Sam), Grier and Cooper Kyle; Great-grandchildren: Waylon Dey and Maeve Kniss; Sisters: Barb Bruce (Tom), Kathy Kinney (Bill); many nieces & nephews.

A Celebration of Life will be held on September 6, 2025, at Saint John's Catholic Church gymnasium (7601 Vine St), Lincoln, NE, from 11 a.m. until 2 p.m.

Memorials are suggested to the family for later designation.
