Obituary
Bill Hand was born August 20, 1930, in Greenfiels, Iowa. He passed away on May 15, 2010, at Bergan Mercy Hospital, in Omaha, at the age of 79 years, 8 months, and 25 days.
Bill joined the Army, and later the United States Coast Guard and was Honorably Discharged in January of 1951. He married Eleanor Smith, on April 27, 1951, in Omaha, Nebraska and to this union they raised 3 daughters Marjorie, Barbara, and Theresa. Electrical Contractor – Founder of Hand Electric Co. until his retirement, Dec. 31, 2004 (40 years in business). Bill worked as an Electrical Conttractor and was the Founder of Hand Electric Company which he retired from in December 31, 2004, after 40 years in Business. He was a member of International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers (IBEW) Local 22 since 1957, and of NECA National Electrical Contractors Assn.
Bill is survived by his Daughters Theresa (Gary) Vlasnik of Cedar Creek, Marjorie Stephens, Louisville, NE, Granddaughters – Jeanette (Robert) Huerta, Amy (Troy) Cooley, of Omaha, NE, Crystal (Shawn) Bargers, of Valley, Grandsons: Jeff Vlasnik, of Cedar Creek, NE, Frank (Julie) O'Connor, of Elkhorn, NE, John Stephens, Brian Stephens, Josh Stephens, of Louisville, NE, Matthew (Lora) Donnar, of Valley, NE 10 Great Grandchildren. Sisters Maxine McDonald of Ault, CO, Caroly Kizina and Candy White, both of Omaha, NE, brothers K. Michael (Martha) White, C. Terry White and James White, all of Omaha, NE
Bill is survived by his stepfather Kenneth O. and mother Kathryn E. (Williams) White wife – Eleanor Hand (September 1, 2005), parents, daughter Barbara K. Donnar, Grandson: Dustin Ryan Vlasnik, Brothers Phil Hand, and Milt Hand.
Funeral Services will be Wednesday, May 19, 2010 at 2:00 P.M. at the Fusselman Wymore Funeral Home, 413 Elm, Louisville, Nebraska, with burial at Glendale Cemetery. Family suggest memorials to Nebraska Humane Society for Rescued Horses.
Visitation will be Tuesday from 9 A.M. until 9 P.M. with family greeting friends from 5 until 8 P.M. all at the funeral home.
