Obituary

Billy "Bill" R. Davis, 66 of Syracuse, passed away on September 19, 2018 at the Community Memorial Hospital in Syracuse. He was born on November 13, 1951 to Percy & Hilda (Van Dyke) Davis in Lincoln.

Bill married Sharon Martinson on August 11, 1973 in Syracuse. He was a 45 year union member of Boilermakers Local 83. Giving back to the community was important to Bill and he served as the fire chief and rural board president on the Unadilla Fire & Rescue Squad, past president of the Unadilla Jaycees and volunteered with the BLM – Wild Horse Adoption Center. He was a member of the Nebraska Land T-Bird Club, Brown Noser Club and a Patriot Guard Rider. He loved the outdoors nature and his animals. He enjoyed camping, fishing, hunting, riding his Harley and his horses. Bill loved his family and always supported his grandchildren.

Bill is survived by his Wife: Sharon Davis; Son: Will (Rebecca) Davis; Daughter: Amanda Davis; Grandchildren: Brendan, Anastasia, Maddux and Gianna Davis; Brother: Gerry (Cherrie) Davis; and his faithful dog, Chester.

He was preceded in death by his parents and Dooley his favorite horse.

Please join the family for a Celebration of Life on Monday, September 24th from 4 -7 pm at the Kimmel Ag Expo Center located at 120 Plum St in Syracuse. A brief service will be held at 4 P.M. Please join the family anytime between 4 - 7 pm. Casual dress is requested.

Memorials are suggested to the Unadilla Fire & Rescue Squad or the Unadilla Park.
