Bob Joseph Cleary, age 67 of Louisville, Nebraska passed away peacefully surrounded by family at his home on July 24, 2026. Born on February 6, 1959, in Omaha, Nebraska to Paul and Eva (Hastings) Cleary.

Bob graduated of South High School, class of 1977. He pursued further studies at the University of Nebraska Omaha before embarking on a distinguished 48-year career as an electrician, establishing and operating Cleary Electric, a business renowned for its exceptional craftsmanship and Bob's extensive knowledge in the field. Bob was united in marriage to Colleen Seidel on June 27, 1992 in York, Nebraska. Following Colleen's death, Bob was united in marriage to Susan Madrigal on August 4, 2001 at St. Joseph's Catholic Church. 

Bob was a passionate fan of Husker sports and took great pride in his Irish heritage. As a distinguished Eagle Scout-once the youngest to achieve this honor-he upheld the values of community service and leadership throughout his life. A member of the Knights of Columbus, Bob was actively involved in both his community and personal interests, enjoying cooking and grilling, playing darts and cards, and engaging in spirited games of HORSE with family and friends in the driveway. His love for reading was evident as he would often devour books in a single day, reflecting his thirst for knowledge.

He is survived by his wife, Susan Cleary; his children, Caitlin (Curtis) Catterson, Patrick (Victoria) Cleary, and Ryan (Makenna) Cleary, his step-children, Anthony (Kim) Madrigal, David (Julie) Madrigal, Robert Madrigal and Jennifer (Mike) Behrendt, his grandchildren, Connor, Chris, John, Haley, Shia, Darien, Mikayla, Ocean, Jackson, Mackenzie and Ben, his great grandchildren, Layla, Bella, Paizlee, Onyx, Myla, Emma, Ava and Elijah. He is also survived by his siblings, Tom Cleary, Ruth Hoffman, Mike Cleary, Theresa Bair, Collette Cleary along with numerous nieces and nephews. 

Bob was preceded in death by his parents, Paul and Eva Cleary, wife Colleen Cleary and baby Shawn Cleary, his first father-in-law and mother-in-law, Bernie and Mary Seidel. 

A memorial service will be held on Thursday, July 30, 2026 at 10:00 AM at Fusselman-Allen-Harvey Funeral Home, Louisville, NE with Deacon Dan Hastings officiating. 

Visitation will be Wednesday, July 29, 2026 with family greeting friends from 6:00 PM until 8:00 PM, the Rosary will be recited at 7:45 PM. 

Burial will be in St. Joseph Catholic Cemetery in York, Nebraska.
