Bruce Hillman was born February 14, 1964, in Nebraska City, Nebraska, to Duane and Edith (Poppe) Hillman. He passed away, Monday, December 8th, 2008, at St. Elizabeth's Regional Medical Center, Lincoln, Nebraska, at the age of 44 years, 9 months, and 24 days.
Bruce worked for Sampson Construction, in Lincoln, as a Crane Operator. He was a member of Isaac Walton, an avid Cornhusker Football Fan, and enjoyed ice fishing, trap shooting, and collecting movies, and coins.
Bruce is survived by his mother Edith Hillman, of Otoe, NE brother Doug Hillman, of Otoe, NE, and sister Gerri Harden and husband Chris, of Burr, NE, his nephews Lucas and Elliot Harden, grandmother Reva Hillman, of Otoe, NE, and many aunts, uncles, and many friends.
Bruce is preceded in death by his father Duane Hillman and grandfather Maynard Hillman and grandparents Karl and Anna Poppe.
Funeral Services will be Thursday, December 11, 2008 at 10:30 A.M. at St. John's Lutheran Church, Otoe, Nebraska, with burial at the Otoe Cemetery, Otoe, Nebraska. Family suggest memorials to St. John's Lutheran Church, Otoe, NE.
Visitation will be Tuesday from 3 P.M. until 9 P.M. and Wednesday from 9 A.M. until 9 P.M. with the family greeting friends from 6 until 7:30 P.M. all at the Funeral Home, 644 Park Street, Syracuse, NE, the casket will be open one hour before services at the Church.
