Carmen Mae Chandler was born September 1, 1949 in Aurora, Nebraska, to Arnold and Naomi (Adams) Mick. She died Saturday, November 11, 2017 at the Gretna Community Care Center, Gretna, Nebraska, at the age of 68 years, 2 months, and 10 days.
Carmen worked as a Certified Public Accountant for Valley Ice for nearly 30 years, and Village Clerk at Cedar Creek, Nebraska. Carmen was instrumental in beginning Hope's Closet in Louisville. She was always learning and playing game shows where she would answer before the contestants. She was an active member of the First United Methodist Church in Louisville.
Carmen is survived by her daughters Corrine Chandler and Janet Holm, grandchildren Morgan, TJ, Laci, Brynlee, and Addilyn Holm, sisters Kathy McConnell, Lori Hofmann, Bonnie Henzel, Regina Mick, Sandy Pokorny, and a brother Thomas Mick, along with several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by parents Arnold and Naomi Mick, sisters Marilyn Wolff and Sharon Wrightson.
Memorial service will be 11:00 A.M., Saturday, November 18 th , 2017 at the First United Methodist Church 222 Walnut Street, Louisville, Nebraska. Family suggests memorials to Hope's Closet, 213 Main Street, Louisville, NE 68037
