Chad James Callahan was born July 20th 1975 to Brent and Connie (Brdicko) Callahan in Fremont, NE. He passed away on Thursday November 29, 2012 at the age of 37 years, 4 months and 9 days.
At an early age, Chad had a love for all animals. Growing up he had rabbits, fish, chinchillas, a ferret at one point, and hamsters (which turned into more hamsters……and more hamsters). But his great passion all of his life was for horses. Everything was horses growing up.
Chad attended Fremont Public Schools and Graduated in 1993. During this time, he enjoyed water skiing, knee boarding, and golfing. He was liked by all and would stand up for anyone in school.
Chad moved to Lincoln in 1993 to attend school at UNL and finished schooling at Southeast Community College with an Associates Degree in Business Management. He then obtained his Bachelors Degree from Doane College in 2008.
Chad took a 3rd shift line operator position at Lincoln Industries in 1997. This last fall, he was promoted to Strategic Accounts Manager, one month after he celebrated 15 years of dedicated service with the company. His leadership helped him rise from being a line operator to the upper echelons of the company. Regardless of his role, he was passionate and driven to help the people of Lincoln Industries, both personally and professionally.
It was at Southeast Community College in Economics Class where Chad met Tracy Tichota, the one and only time that left him speechless. Not only did he meet the love of his life at this time, but she also brought him his dream of having horses. Chad and Tracy were married July 17, 1999 in Fremont, NE. With this union, two wonderful children were born, Cayle and Cooper.
Chad was an active member in the Nebraska Frontier Scouts for a little over 10 years where he made many friends and many more memories.
His spontaneity, generosity and sense of humor made him the life of the party, loved by all. He made everyone around him feel good.
Family was always first with Chad. Tracy, Cayle and Cooper were his life.
Chad is survived by his Wife; Tracy Callahan, Daughter Cayle & Son Cooper, Parents; Brent & Connie Callahan, Brother: Kevin & Shannon & Niece Rory, Grandmother: Ruth Brdicko, Mother & Father-in-law; Glenda & Bruce Fells, Father & Mother-in-law; Kenny & Shawn Tichota, Brother & Sister-in-law; Toni & Justin England, Sister-in-law; Tara Tichota-Bevans & Nephews Colt Bevans & Ty Tichota.
