Chad Edward Welte was born October 9, 1972 in Omaha, Nebraska to Edward and Betty (Dentlinger) Welte. He passed on Tuesday, November 20, 2018 at the Buffet Cancer Center in Omaha at the age of 46 years, 1 month and 9 days.

Chad worked for several local farmers and then at Offutt Air Force Base. Chad and his wife Destiny (Smalley) Welte lived in Plattsmouth, Nebraska.

Chad loved the outdoors and spent as much time as possible hunting, fishing and being outside. He especially liked to duck and goose hunt with his dad and Uncle Paul. Chad and his wife, Destiny, also enjoyed camping and fishing together. Family was important to Chad. He spent time with all of his family and seldom missed a family event whether a Sunday dinner at his mom and dad's or a fun day with his sisters on the lake with their kids. Chad often visited his Grandma and Grandpa Welte at the nursing home and always brought a smile to their faces. Chad was a friend to everyone he came in contact with. He was a kid magnet to his nieces, nephews and cousins who loved him. Chad had a kind heart and it was big enough to fit everyone in. His special sense of humor put a smile on all faces. Chad was fiercely loyal to all his family and friends. Words to describe Chad are courageous, loving, family oriented, kind, giving, honest and fun loving.

Relatives surviving include his wife Destiny (Smalley) Welte; parents Ed and Betty Welte; sisters – Lisa (Robert) Wright, Amy Welte; 9 nephews and 2 nieces.

He was preceded in death by his grandparents Ralph and Beth Welte, Al Dentlinger, niece Sloane Wright, cousins Mark Garcia and Eric Welte.

Funeral Services will be at 10:30 AM, Monday, November 26, 2018 at the Faith Missionary Church, 306 South East Street, Weeping Water, Nebraska.  Burial will be at Glendale Cemetery, Louisville, NE.

Memorials suggested to the family for later designation.

Visitation will be Sunday 1 P.M until 9 P.M. with family present from 6-8 P.M. all at Fusselman-Allen-Harvey Funeral Home in Louisville, NE.
