Charlene A. Patton was born on July 20, 1926 in Pierce, Nebraska to Charles & Alice (Holscher) Bargstadt. She passed away on Thursday, December 26, 2013 at the Faith Regional Hospital in Norfolk, Nebraska at the age of 87 years, 5 months and 6 days.

She graduated from Burr High School in 1944 and attended Peru State College to earn her teaching certificate. She was united in marriage on April 24, 1946 to Ralph Patton at St. Martin's Catholic Church in Douglas, Nebraska. Together they raised four children, Jim, Tom, Rick and Terri. She taught school for 2 years and worked as a Cosmatologist for 15 years. After moving to Cloquet, Minnesota, she worked as a secretary for the Cloquet Public Schools for 15 years before retiring.

She was a member of the American Legion, V.F.W. and Eagles Auxilaries. She enjoyed her retirement years with Ralph as they were able to travel and spend time in Southern Texas. She was a avid golfer.

She is survived by her sons: Jim(Janet) Patton of Ft. Collins, CO, Tom Patton of Omaha, NE, Rick(Kathy) Patton of Brainerd, MN, Daughter: Terri (Gary) Hughes of Cloquet, MN, Grandsons: A.J., Tom, Bob & Vincent Patton, Pete Hughes, Josh Patrick, Granddaughters: Teasha Peterson, Amy Misterek,Kelli Knight, Kelsey Hoff, Allyson Patton, Ashley Patton and Jessi Dufour, 13 Great Grandchildren, Brother: Lester (Leona) Bargstadt of Norfolk, NE, also many nieces, nephews and cousins.

She was preceded in death by her Husband, Parents, 4 Sisters, Granddaughter: Katie Marie Patton

Funeral Services will be held on Monday, December 30, 2013 at 11:00 A.M. at Fusselman-Allen-Harvey Funeral Home Chapel in Syracuse, Nebraska with Father Rand Langhorst officiating.

A time of refreshments and greeting with the family will take place on Monday, December 30, 2013 from 10:00 AM until the time of the Service at the Funeral Home.

Interment will be in St. Martin's Catholic Cemetery in Douglas, Nebraska
