Charles A. "Chuck" Wingett was born on December 27, 1962 in Sioux City, Iowa to Theodore & Theresa (Blassl) Wingett. He passed away on Monday, March 23, 2009 in rural Union, Nebraska at the age of 46 years.

On December 22, 2000 he married Robin Broten in Plattsmouth. Chuck graduated from Burke High School in Omaha and then entered the United States Navy where he served on the U.S.S. Kitty Hawk Aircraft Carrier. After his discharge, he began working in the pool and spa business, he later partnered with a friend to open Aqua Pleasure Pool and Spa. Chuck was currently serving on the Union Town Council and was a member of New Life Fellowship in Plattsmouth. He was a very genourous individual and enjoyed being a Santa helper during the holidays. Chuck had been studying to enter the ministry.

He is survived by : Wife: Robin Wingett of Union, NE; Children: Jessica Wingett of Oklahoma; Gunners mate Petty Officer Victoria Wingett of San Diego, CA; Step-Children: Brittney & Travis Norton of Plattsmouth, NE; Benjamin Johnson of Union, NE; Zachary Johnson of Union, NE; Danielle Johnson of Union, NE; Grandchildren: Zoe Johnson, Blake & Mason Norton all of Plattsmouth, NE; Mother: Theresa Wingett; Sisters: Bev & Dennis Hill of Bellevue, NE; Bobbie & Pete Peterson of Bellevue, NE; Regina & Shawn Whittington of Bellevue, NE; Dawn Lambley of Wisconsin, Frances Ouf of New York. Brother: Wayne & Carolyn Wingett of Council Bluffs, IA. Also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his father, Theodore Wingett.

Memorial services will be held on Saturday, March 28, 2009 at 3:00 P.M. at Living Water Church (1623 Chicago Ave) in Plattsmouth, NE with Rev. Jim Nielsen officiating.

The family will greet and receive friends from Noon until the time of the service at the Church.
