Charles W. Funkhouser was born August 23, 1944, to Charles E. and Jacquline Z. (Riggs) Funkhouser in Pender, Nebraska. He passed away Sunday, November 11, 2018 at his home in Cedar Creek, Nebraska, at the age of 74 years, 2 months, and 19 days.

Chuck married Donna Scott in 1962 and to this union they had two sons Charley and David. He served his country in the United States Army and later lived in Central City and owned Midwest Pipe and Tank welding company. Chuck was a member of Henry A. Newman Post #353 American Legion, Louisville, former member of Louisville Fire Department and later Cedar Creek Fire Department.

Chuck is survived by his significant other Patricia Buzzard, son Charles (Deb) Funkhouser, 6 grandchildren, and 8 great grandchildren, sisters Janet Smith, and Judy (Wayne) Miller all of Cedar Creek, Nebraska.

He was preceded in death by his parent, son David Scott Funkhouser, wife Donna, and brother-in-law Mike Smith.

Graveside service will be Friday, November 16, 2018 at 2:00 P.M. at Glendale Cemetery, 2 miles East of Louisville, NE on Highway 66. Memorials are suggested to the Family for later designation.

Visitation will be Thursday, November 15, 2018 from 1:00 P.M. until 9:00 P.M. with the family greeting friends from 6:00 P.M. until 8:00 P.M. all at the funeral home.
