Cindy Louise (Bauersachs) Stanley was born in Lincoln, Nebraska on May 20, 1954. She was the first child of Richard and Jenny Bauersachs. She passed away on March 29, 2023, at home in Unadilla at the age of 68.

Cindy lived in Greenwood, Nebraska until the age of 8, then moved to Lincoln, Nebraska where she resided until 1986. After her marriage to Robert Gene Stanley, they moved to Palmyra and then later to Unadilla, Nebraska where she lived the remainder of her years.

Cindy regularly commented throughout her struggle with cancer that what she was going through was nothing compared to what Jesus had suffered on the cross to pay for our sins. She said she could never have had the strength to endure her illness without the Lord. Cindy trusted Jesus as her personal Lord and Savior on April 11, 1986, and one of her greatest joys was attending church. In her last days she often asked for prayer just for the strength to make it to church each Sunday. She was looking ahead to heaven where she would have a new body and spend eternity living in the presence of her Lord.

Cindy enjoyed rides in the country with her husband Bob, going out to eat, she had a passion for cleaning her home and making it a place of comfort for her and her husband to share. Most of all Cindy loved spending time with her family and having her grand kids with her as often as possible.

Cindy's favorite Scripture verses were Philippians 4:13, "I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me", and 1 Corinthians 10:31, "Whatever you do, do it all for the glory of God." Cindy often referred to these verses to encourage other as well as a reminder to herself.

Cindy is survived by her children Christina (Clint) Edgerton of Lincoln, Ne, Jason (Jennifer) Fisher of Cook, Ne, and Melissa (Chris) Tenney of Lincoln, Ne; 16 grandchildren; 5 great-grandchildren; brother Dave (Jackie) Bauersachs of Lincoln, Ne; brother-in-law Kenny (Sabine) Stanley of New Mexico, Dan (Joyce) Stanley of Lincoln, Ne; uncle Tom (Linda) Casey of Lincoln, Ne; aunts Cindy Casey of Cheney, Ne, and Donna Casey of Lincoln, Ne; and her nieces and nephews.

Cindy was preceded in death by her husband Robert Gene Stanley, parents Richard and Jenny Bauersachs and brother Rick Bauersachs.
