Clara Louise Schroeder was born August 8, 1921 near Nebraska City, NE the daughter of Nickolas and Marie (Schomerus) Burkhart. Clara died March 21, 2015 at the Good Samaritan Center in Syracuse at the age of 93. She was a 1938 Nebraska City High School Graduate. She married Raymond Schroeder April 30, 1946 at Nebraska City. They lived on a farm southeast of Syracuse until 1977 when they moved into Syracuse.

Clara was a homemaker and helped on the farm. She enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She also enjoyed gardening, flowers, doing yard work and with playing golf and cards. Clara was a member of St. John's UCC of Syracuse and the Women's Fellowship.

Survivors include her husband, Raymond; her son Donn & wife Irene of Syracuse; two grandchildren, Sara & Justin Luther, Aaron & Chantelle Schroeder all of Lincoln. The great-grandchildren, Camden Luther, Jackson and Presley Schroeder; sister Helen Johnson of Nebraska City; sister-in-law, Beverly Schroeder of Syracuse; many other relatives and friends.

Clara was preceded in death by her parents, sister & brother-in-law, Hilda & Walter Hall, brother, Arnold Burkhart, brother & sister-in-law, Ralph & Arlene Burkhart, brother-in-law, Leo Johnson, brother-in-law, Allen Schroeder, sister-in-law & brother-in-law, Leona & Ralph Bando and sister-in-law, Merna Schroeder.

Funeral Services will be held on Wednesday March 25, 2015 at 10:30 A.M. at St. John's United Church of Christ located at 511 7th St. in Syracuse, NE. Burial will be at Park Hill cemetery.

Visitation will be held on Tuesday March 24 from 9 A.M. until 4 P. M. at the Fusselman-Allen-Harvey Funeral Home then from 5 P.M. till 9 P.M. with family greeting friends from 6-8 P.M. at St. John's United Church of Christ in Syracuse.

Memorials are suggested to the Family's Choice.
