Clarence "Pepsi" Rosenthal was born September 3, 1924 in Cook, Nebraska, to August Herman Gustave & Fannie (Saathoff) Rosenthal. He went to be with his wife Esther, on Monday, August 27, 2012, after a short stay at Good Samaritan Center Syracuse, at the age of 87 years, 11 months, and 24 days.

Pepsi married Esther Halvorsen, on December 1, 1946, in Syracuse and to this union they raised 3 children-David, Glen, and LaVonne. He worked construction for many years, at first moving from job to job around Iowa, and Nebraska. In later years, he worked for Bud Engelbrecht, building dams and farm work, around the Syracuse area.

He is survived by son David Rosenthal, of Holdrege, NE, Glen & wife Roxie Rosenthal, of Lincoln, NE, and daughter LaVonne Rosenthal, of Lincoln, NE , 7 grandchildren, 10 great-grandchildren, brothers-Donald & wife Donita Rosenthal, of Syracuse, NE, and Ezra Rosenthal, of Fairbury, NE, sister Esther Barr, of Wymore, NE, and special family friends, Doug, Linda, Jackie, and Jennie Allen.

Pepsi is preceded in death by his parents, wife Esther in 1997,and brother Harold.



Funeral services will be Friday, August 31, 2012 at 10:30 A.M. at United Methodist Church, Syracuse, NE, with burial at Park Hill Cemetery. The family suggest memorials to the family's choice.

VISITATION will be Thursday from 9:00 A.M. ~ 9:00 P.M. with the family greeting friends from 7:00 P.M. until 8:30, all at the funeral home.
