Clark D. Hemje, 57 of Adams, died on July 5, 2024, at Bryan East Hospital in Lincoln. He was born on March 10, 1967, to Don & Pat (Ham) Hemje in Hebron. On October 19, 1996, he married Amy Osler at St. Mark's United Methodist Church in Lincoln. Clark was a painter by trade and owned Hemje Painting.

Clark loved spending time outdoors, whether hunting, fishing, or relaxing at the lake with family & friends. He was proud to have received a master angler award. Often found on his boat, he was likely listening to Hank Williams Jr. Clark will be fondly remembered for his sense of humor and generosity.

He is survived by his wife Amy; brother Craig (Tammi) Hemje; brothers-in-law & sisters-in-law Susan (Steve) Hanson, Scott (Debbi) Osler, Doug (Jody) Osler, Bill (Gail) Osler; nieces & nephews Nate & fiancé Haley Sexton, Aaron Hemje, Nick (Rachel) Hanson, Laura (Bryan) Barrett, Tori Osler, Mandy (Dustin) Osler, Josie Osler, Mike (Sarah) Osler, Chris (Casey) Osler, Sally (Rob) Andersen; special friends and beloved dog Brynn.

He was preceded in death by his parents, sister Jodi and parents-in-law John & Joan Osler.

Private memorial services will be held on Thursday, July 11 at 10:30 a.m. at the Luther Memorial Church in Syracuse. The service will be livestreamed on the Luther Memorial Church, NE YouTube page. Burial will follow at the Park Hill Cemetery in Syracuse.

Visitation will be held Wednesday, July 10 from 9 a.m. until 4 p.m. at the funeral home, then with family greeting friends from 5-7 p.m. at Luther Memorial Church, all in Syracuse. Casual attire is welcomed.

Memorials are suggested to the Syracuse Backpack Program or Food Bank of Lincoln.
