Clifford C. Remmenga, 84 of Syracuse, passed away on January 11, 2017 at the Syracuse Good Samaritan Center. He was born on July 6, 1932 in Sterling to Cornelius & Hilda (Rulla) Remmenga.
Clifford served in the U.S. Army as a truck driver and was stationed in France. He worked as a farmer. He married Anna Mullis on November 24, 1978 at St. Paulinus Catholic Church in Syracuse. Cliff had a lifelong love of baseball and got great enjoyment attending the College World Series. He enjoyed traveling with Anna and also dancing and playing cards.
He is survived by his wife: Anna Remmenga; sister: Margaret Remmenga; brother: Alvin Remmenga (wife Sylvia), sister-in-law: Darlene Remmenga; numerous nieces and nephews; Anna's daughters Anita Fisk (husband Thomas) and Loretta Kingenberg (husband Dean). He was also grandpa to Andrew Klingenberg (wife Kathryn), Carol Fisk and Robert Fisk (wife Emily).
He was preceded in death by his parents; sister: Virginia Harms, and brother: Merlin.
Funeral services will be held on Saturday, January 14 at 11:00 A.M. at Luther Memorial Lutheran Church in Syracuse. Burial will be at Park Hill cemetery.
Visitation will be held on Friday January 13 from 9 A.M. until 9 P.M. with family greeting friends from 6-7 P.M. at the funeral home.
Memorials are suggested to the Evangelical Lutheran Church in America Scholarship Fund.
