Dale Richard Hillman was born on January 12, 1928 in Unadilla, Nebraska to Henry and Emma (Knickman) Hillman. He passed away on March 28, 2011 at St. Elizabeth Hospital in Lincoln, Nebraska at the age of 83 years, 2 months and 16 days.

Dale was united in marriage on September 22, 1948 to Maxine Juilfs at Christ Lutheran (Delaware) in Rural Syracuse, Nebraska. Together they raised three children, Darrell, Dan and Pam. He worked as a farmer his whole life.

Dale was a Eagles Member in Nebraska City, served on District 40 school board, NRD watershed, Syracuse rural fire, ASCS Board, NFO Board and Church Council, Enjoyed Hunting, Fishing, Playing cards, Playing with grand/great grandchildren. He also went to the farm everyday.

Dale is survived by his Wife: Maxine Hillman, of Syracuse, NE, Sons: Darrell & wife Pam of Syracuse, NE, Dan & wife Judy of Syracuse, NE, Daughter: Pam Hillman of LaVista, NE, Brother: Harlan & wife Kay Hillman of Syracuse, NE, Sister-in-law: Ramona Hillman of Syracuse, NE, 5 grandchildren, and 4 great grandchildren

He was preceded in death by his Mother & Father: Henry & Emma Hillman, Mother & Father-in-law: Herman and Leila Juilfs, Brother: Lloyd Hillman

Funeral Services will be held on Friday April 1, 2011 at 11 A.M. at Christ Lutheran (Delaware) in Rural Syracuse, Nebraska, with Pastor Amalia Spruth-Janssen officiating.

Visitation will be on Thursday March 31, 2011 from 9 A.M. until 9 P.M. with family greeting friends from 6 until 8 P.M. at the funeral home.
