Obituary
Dale R. Read, 85 of Lincoln, passed away November 13, 2015 at BryanWest Hospital in Lincoln. He was born in Palmyra, NE to Ross & Mary (Strodman) Read on January 11, 1930.
Dale was a Navy veteran serving from 1948 to 1952. He married Lorraine Meistrell on December 10, 1954. Dale worked as an Electrical Contractor for over 50 years. He was a past president of the Sowers Club and NECA. He was also a member of IBEW. He was awarded volunteer of the year for the Cornhusker state games and was also a member of Cornhusker state games. He was an active member of school science fairs and started junior trap shooting at Izaak Walton League.
Dale is survived by his Wife: Lorraine Read; Children: Mike Read, Sonja Vanderharr & fiancé Kevin Fawl; Grandchildren: Justin, Josh, Mike, Nick, Niki; Great Grandchildren: Kaidon, Malayna, Bryson.
He is preceded in death by his Parents: Ross & Mary; Sisters: Hazell Read, Eileen Crandell; Brothers: Clifford & Martin Read.
Memorial Services will be held on Friday November 20th at 11:00 A.M. at the Palmyra Presbyterian Church in Palmyra, NE. Burial will be at Rosewood Cemetery.
Memorials are suggested to the Family's Choice.
