Obituary
Dale H. Stubbendick was born March 18, 1915 in Unadilla, Nebraska to Henry and Edla (VanMeter) Stubbendick. He passed away on Saturday, February 12, 2011 at the Good Samaritan Center in Syracuse, Nebraska at the age of 95 years, 10 months, and 25 days.
He was united in marriage on September 6, 1936 to Lucille Bottcher in Syracuse, Nebraska. Together they raised 2 children Karen and Dennis. In 1999 he married Esther Reiger in Syracuse, Nebraska. Dale was a long time member of the United Methodist Church in both Douglas and Syracuse, having served on the Douglas Church Board. He was a 50+ year member of the Farm Bureau, 30+ year member of the Lion's Club. He served on both the Community Memorial Hospital Board and the Douglas School Board.
He is survived by his Daughter: Karen Isaacs and husband Dale of Unadilla, NE; Grandchildren, Jeanie Steinkuhler and husband Randy of Unadilla, NE; JoDee Juilfs and husband Chris of Bennet, NE; Jerry Hull and wife Renae of Hastings, NE; Russell Hull of Unadilla, NE; Rebecca Bailey and fiancé Mike Brungardt of York, NE: Cristie Willms and husband Clark of Omaha, NE: Craig Payo and wife Traci of Riverside, CA; Janelle McArthur and husband Mike of Henderson, CO; 25 Great Grandchildren; 1 Great Great Grandchildren; Brother: Roy Stubbendick and wife Wanda of Lincoln, NE; Sister: Rose Bartling of Syracuse, NE; Sister-in-law: Sylvia Stubbendeck of Lincoln, NE; Brother-in-law: Bill Bottcher and wife Marcene of Syracuse, NE. Also survived by three stepchildren, many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents, 1st wife, Lucille; 2nd wife Esther, son Dennis D. Stubbendick, grandson Bart Allen Hull.
Funeral Services will be held on Wednesday, February 16, 2011 at 2:00 P.M. at the United Methodist Church in Syracuse, Nebraska with Rev. Lyn Seiser officiating.
Visitation will be on Monday, February 14, 2011 from 4 until 9 P.M. and Tuesday February 15, from 9 A.M. until 9 P.M. at the funeral home.
Interment will be at Hopewell Cemetery in Rural Unadilla, Nebraska
