Daniel L. Kerans was born August 25, 1950, in Hamburg, Iowa, to Donald and Donna (Winters) Kerans. He died Saturday, July 23, 2016, at CHI Bergan Mercy Hospital, at the age of 65 years, 10 months, and 28 days.

The family moved to Louisville when Danny was in elementary school.

Danny married Marilyn Stroy on January 30, 1971 in Murdock, Nebraska and to this union were born two children, Nikki and Jeff. Danny was a member of the Henry A. Newman Post #353 American Legion, of Louisville. He worked for the City of Louisville for 19 years, and then Eriksen Construction for 11 years until he retired. Danny loved hunting, fishing, and being with his family. Danny built model cars, recycled old furniture, rehabbed homes and coached baseball. He was also a leader of an Explorer Club.

Danny is survived by his wife Marilyn Kerans, daughter Nikki (Jim) Beck, and Jeff (Amy) Kerans, his brother Gerald Kerans, grandchildren Nick Barkhurst, Dannielle Barkhurst, Katie Kerans, and Cole Kerans, along with many nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents and brother Michael.

Funeral Service will be Wednesday, July 27, 2016 at 10:30 A. M. at Christ Lutheran Church 15616 84th Street, Louisville, Nebraska, with burial at Glendale Cemetery.

Visitation will be Tuesday, July 26, 2016 from 1 P.M. till 9 P.M. with the family greeting friends from 6 P.M. till 8 P.M., all at the Funeral Home.
