Dara Louise Ostrander, 56 was born October 8, 1968, in Phoenix, Arizona to Carlene (Allgayer) and Duane Ostrander. Dara passed April 10, 2025, in Avoca, Nebraska. Dara was baptized by Pastor Lester Roloff in the People's Church and graduated from Tulso-Midway High School in Corpus Christi, Texas. She started her working career at Whataburger. Her next job was with Marriott in food service while attending night school and graduating with a Bachelors Degree in Business Management from the University of Phoenix. She began working for Frito Lay/Pepsico working from the bottom up to a plant manager. She was on their Flight Team for 5 years flying to a different city every week. She also managed their plant in Elgin, Illinois. Dara lived in Hampshire, Illinois with her dog, Ryder for 3 years and attended Faithway Baptist Church. In 2019, she moved to Nebraska after a round with cancer and her first brain surgery.

Proceeded in death: Grandparents, Lloyd and Leona Ostrander, Louie and Jeneese Allgayer, and father Duane Ostrander.

Loved by all of Dara's survivors are: mother, Carlene Ostrander of Avoca, brother Clayton, Denver, Colorado, many aunts, uncles, cousins, friends, and co-workers from California to the Carolinas, Wisconsin to Texas.

Services: Thursday, April 17, 2025, 10:00 a.m. at Fusselman-Allen-Harvey Funeral Home in Syracuse, NE. The service will be livestreamed on the Fusselman Facebook page. Burial will follow the service at the Avoca Cemetery in Avoca, NE. A meal will be provided at the Avoca Town Hall.
