Darlene J. Kath, of Lincoln, NE was born on May 21, 1925 in Gresham, Nebraska to Verle Hedrick & Gertude Walters. She passed away on Sunday July 3, 2011 at Lancaster Manor in Lincoln, Nebraska at the age of 86 years, 1 month, and 12 days.

She married Alvin Kath on October 17, 1942 in Stockton, California and to this union they raised 5 daughters Mavis, Sheila, Bonnie, Debra, and Becky. Darlene worked in the Lincoln Public Schools as a Para and a cook.

Darlene is survived by 5 Daughters Mavis A. Neville of York, NE, Sheila M. Rutt (Fredrick Jr.) of Lincoln, NE, Bonnie J. Filbert (Gerald) of Lincoln, NE, Debra S. Myers & Bobbi Morse of St. Louis, MO, Becky J. Nesmith (Jim) of Lincoln, NE, Brothers Boyd and Micheal Hedrick, Sisters Betty Schultze, Judy Bliss, Janet Strong, 10 Grandchildren Susan Rasp, Kim Reynolds, William Rasp, Donna Rutt, Christine Weldon, Cindy Cridle, Joseph Neville, Sarah Huber, John Myers, and Anna Nesmith, 7 Great Grandchildren

She was preceded in death by Parents Verle & Gertude Hedrick, Brothers Stanley, Jack and David Hedrick, Sister Correne Hedrick, Son-in-law Francis Neville Jr.

Memorial Services will be Thursday July 7, 2011 at 2 P.M. at Ebenezer United Church of Christ 801 B Street Lincoln, NE. Burial will be at Lincoln Memorial Park.

There will be no visitation due to cremation.
