Darlene Dorothy Mills Watson, 12-2-1940 - 07-05-2014. Darlene was born to Charles R. and Opal Mills in Seward, NE 12/2/1940. She attended Westfield Country School for 1st and 2nd grade, then upon the school closing, she transferred to St. Paul Lutheran Parochial School in Utica. She graduated and was confirmed in the 8th grade and her high school years were spent at Utica High School, graduating in 1957. She attended Lincoln School of Commerce and graduated from Southeast Community College with a degree in Dietetic Management. She was the Certified Dietary Manager at the Wilber Care Center for 22 years.

In 1958 Darlene married Dale Watson of York. To this marriage 3 sons were born, Tim, Terry and Tom. She was preceded in death by her son Tom, her mother and father. Left to remember her presence is husband Dale, sons, Timothy (Brenda) Watson of Wilber, and Terry (Cami) Watson of Lincoln. Eight grandchildren, 4 great grandchildren, special loving companions, Imus and Andy, her church family and many, many close and special friends.

Brothers and Sisters, Betty Pohl, Roger (Sandra) Mills, Bev (Bob) Stava, Bob (Theresa) Mills, Donald (Maude Ruth) Watson, Harlan Watson, Twilla Lonsdale, Velma Smith and many nieces and nephews.

It's Darlene wish, that everyone who attends the service would bring the quilt made by her as a gift or donation, for this final showing and comparing so that her life's work may be shared by all.

Services will be held on Wednesday July 9 at Beautiful Savior Lutheran Church in Palmyra with Pastor Mark Ekstrom officiating at 4 P.M. Lunch will be served following the service. Private burial of ashes will be held in Seward, NE at a later date.
