Darrel G. Krogh was born on December 23, 1935 in Spalding, Nebraska to John and Thelma (Huff) Krogh. He passed away on Friday April 15, 2011 at Homestead Rehabilitation Center in Lincoln, Nebraska at the age of 75 years, 3 months, and 23 days.

Darrel married Carol McPherson on June 27, 1959 at the United Methodist Church in Syracuse, Nebraska. To this union they had 3 daughters Kim, Deb and Karin. Darrel served in the U.S. Marine Corp during the Korean War where he received the Purple Heart and the Bronze Star. He loved to golf and be outdoors.

Darrel is survived by his wife Carol (McPherson) Krogh, of Syracuse, NE, daughters & sons-in-law, Kim & Scott Niday, of Pittsburgh, PA, Deb Swanson, of Otoe, NE, and Karin & Dave Nannen, of Blair, NE, 8 grandchildren Darin Niday, of Denver, CO, Ricky & Jinny Swanson, of Omaha, NE, Lindsey Niday, of St. Louis, MO, Patrick Niday, of Kirksville, MO, Jessa & Gage Swanson, of Otoe, NE, Zachary & Madison Nannen, of Blair, NE

He is preceded in death by his parents, John & Thelma (Huff) Krogh and son-in-law Rick Swanson.

Pallbearers are Scott Niday ~ Dave Nannen ~ Darin Niday ~ Patrick Niday ~ Gage Swanson ~ Zachary Nannen

Funeral Services will be Tuesday April 19, 2011 at 10:30 A.M. at the Syracuse United Methodist Church in Syracuse, Nebraska. Burial will be at Park Hill Cemetery. The family suggests memorials to families choice.

Visitation will be Monday April 18, 2011 from 9 A.M. until 9 P.M. with family greeting friends from 5 until 7 P.M. at the Funeral Home.
