Dawson Norton Steele, age 16, of Louisville, NE, passed away on June 22, 2024, at his home. He was born on April 9, 2008, at Midlands Hospital in Papillion to Nathan and Rebecca Steele.
Dawson was eagerly anticipating his junior year. He had a passion & love for baseball. Known for his athleticism, Dawson excelled not only in baseball but also in basketball, lacrosse, and karate when he was younger. His competitive spirit and drive to excel were evident in all aspects of his life.
Dawson was not just a kid who loved baseball; he was a symbol of kindness, warmth, and joy. His passion for baseball was only matched by his love for people. Whether he was on the field or around friends or family. Dawson's infectious smile and boundless energy touched everyone he met. His caring nature and unwavering spirit made him a friend to all and a shining light in our lives.
Beyond sports, Dawson had a vibrant personality that endeared him to many. He had a remarkable sense of humor and a smile that lit up any room. His family meant the world to him, especially his brothers whom he looked up to and adored deeply. Dawson was known for his loyalty, his stubborn determination, and his unwavering support for the underdog. He had a generous heart and always sought to uplift those around him. He was baptized on Christmas Eve last year at his home by his father.
Dawson enjoyed watching movies, riding ATV's , and enjoying a good hamburger, and his Nana's snickerdoodle cookies. His love for life and his big smile will be dearly missed by all who knew him.
He is survived by his parents, Nathan and Becky Steele, big brother, Jackson Steele and little brother, Bryson Steele all of Louisville, NE, nana, Debbie (Frank) Tozser of Louisville, NE, papa, Ed Steele of Springfield, NE, grandma, Laurel Settles of Yuma, AZ, great grandparents, Wendell & Marilyn Schultz of Fremont, IA, Frank Martin of Westminster, CO and Connie Steele of Holiday, FL. He is also survived by numerous Aunts, Uncles, Cousins and many friends.
He was preceded in death by his great grandfather, George Steele and great grandmother, Carole Martin.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, June 27, 2024, from 1:00 PM until 8:00 PM with family greeting friends from 5:00 PM until 8:00 PM at Fusselman-Allen-Harvey Funeral Home, Louisville, NE.
A Memorial Service will be held on Friday, June 28, 2024, at 10:00 AM at Southwest Church of Christ, 2600 S. 124th Street, Omaha, NE 68144.
Memorials may be directed to the family for future designation.
