Obituary

Delores “Dee” L. Stoner, 96, of Syracuse, formerly of Mesa, AZ, passed away on December 21, 2025, at the Syracuse Good Samaritan Center. She was born on April 25, 1929, in Burr, to Elmer & Minnie (Pahde) Moss. On April 15, 1954, she was united in marriage to Robert Stoner at the Hope Lutheran Church in Burr.

Delores worked as a beautician and after retiring, she lived in Arizona for many years. No matter where she lived, Delores was active in every church she belonged to. She volunteered through her Arizona church in various roles including at the Lutheran Thrift Store. She was deeply religious and lived her Christian values daily. These included being devoted, loving, forgiving, and unwavering in her faith and commitment to doing what was right. Delores also enjoyed following her Arizona sports teams, particularly the Phoenix Suns and Arizona Diamondbacks.

She is survived by her son, Rob Stoner; grandson, Stefon Stoner; great granddaughter Kimimila Stover; brother, Kenneth (Corianne) Moss; and many nieces, nephews, and friends.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Robert Stoner; daughter, Amy Stoner; and her siblings, Norma Lafollette, Jean Schulte, Karen Snyder, Delmer Moss, Fritz Moss, Jim Moss, and Harold Moss.

In accordance with Delores’ wishes, memorial services will be held at a later date so that family and friends may spend the holidays with their loved ones.

Memorials are suggested to Hope Lutheran Church in Burr, Nebraska.
