Delores R. Post, 90 of Syracuse, was born June 20, 1933, in Lorton, NE to Gus and Dora (Badberg) Johns. She passed away peacefully on April 3, 2024, at Bryan West in Lincoln, NE.

Delores married Don Post on June 24, 1951. To this union were born 3 girls, Judy, Jan & Jill.

Delores worked at the ASCS office while still in high school & she helped out at Post Bros. Floor Service & Hardware whenever needed, but loved the position of stay at home mom.

Her and Don square danced for many years and later loved ballroom dancing. She didn't travel much but made it to Italy when Don won a trip there.

One of her favorite past times was to sit at the piano and play music. No lessons needed, she played by ear.

Surviving Delores are daughters Judy & Bob Farmer, Jan Lang & significant other Bill Gerdes, Jill Post; grandchildren & great grandchildren Nick & Steph Farmer, Keller & Karson, Mindy Farmer, Brandi & Vance Allison, Owen & Kyan, Brian & Jodi Lang, Beckett & Alexa, Brittany & Derek Miller, Jordyn & Blayne; sister-in-law Bonnie Post; also many nieces and nephews.

Preceding her in death, her sister Violet Mae, parents, brother Bob Johns, son-in-law Keith Lang and husband Don.

A celebration of life will be held on Tuesday, April 9 at 11:00 a.m. at Luther Memorial Church in Syracuse. The service will be livestreamed on the Luther Memorial Church, NE YouTube page.

A visitation will be held on Sunday, April 7 from 4 p.m. until 6 p.m. with family greeting friends at the funeral home in Syracuse.

Memorials are suggested to the family for later designation.
