Denise DeLong was born October 25, 1956, in Lincoln, Nebraska to Samuel and Alvia (Kubes) Troutt. She died on August 21, 2017 at her home in Louisville, Nebraska at the age of 60 years, 9 months, and 27 days.

Denise was a graduate of Lincoln Northeast High School in Lincoln, Nebraska. On March 24, 1979, she married Dean DeLong, Jr. in Lincoln, Nebraska. She worked as a secretary. Denise enjoyed life.   She was a skilled quilt maker, loved animals, yellow roses, and spending time with her husband and their pets.

Denise is survived by her husband Dean, Jr., mother Alvia Troutt, sisters and spouses Debbie and Weldon Zwiener, Dixie and Norb Welter brother and spouse Daniel and Bonnie Troutt, numerous nieces and nephews, father-in-law and mother-in-law Dean and Ila DeLong, sister-in-law and spouse Elicia and Greg Laabs.

She was preceded in death by her father Samuel C. Troutt and her grandparents.

Celebration of Life, Sunday, September 3, 2017 from 1:00 P.M. until 9:00 P.M. with family greeting friends from 6:00 P.M. until 8:00 P.M. at the Funeral Home.  Memorials are suggested to the Lincoln Humane Society
