Dennis Ray Drake passed away February 8, 2017 and was born September 2, 1941. He was a lifelong resident of Elmwood Nebraska and graduated from Elmwood High School in 1959. Dennis enjoyed life, spending time talking with others, and truly looking forward to family events. He was a proud Ironworker for 40 years before retiring from Local 21. Dennis was also a EM Knights supporter thru and thru.

Dennis is survived by his beloved wife of 53 years Bonnie Drake (Johnson), Daughters Lori Eastman (Dan), Teresa Hawks (Richard), and Son Jason Drake (Pamela). Grandchildren Megan Hawks and Austin Hawks. Siblings/Spouses: Sondra Leroy, Vicki Callaway, Vona (Carl) Ulm, Terry (Merry) Drake, Kevin Drake, Kirby (Cindy) Drake, Kirk (Denise) Drake, Bob Bruns, Sisters-in-law Esther Drake and Miki Bruns. As well as many Nieces and Nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents Arthur and Gwineth Drake, Father-in-law William Johnson, Mother-in-law Wilhelmina Johnson, Brothers Keith Drake, John Bruns, Sisters Sheroll Oehlerking, Gwen Schalk, Betty Mattice, Sharmon Stock; Brothers-in-law Eldon Oehlerking, Johann Schalk, Gary Callaway, and Wayne Stock.

Funeral services will be held on Saturday, February 11, 2017 at St. Paul United Methodist Church at 400 W 'G' St. Elmwood at 1:30 P.M. Burial will be at the Avoca cemetery.

Visitation will be held from 4-8 P.M. with family greeting friends from 6-8 P.M. at St. Paul United Methodist Church in Elmwood. Memorials are suggested to the family for later designation.
