Dolores 'Dot' McGaugh was born on August 18, 1930 to Edward & Fannie (Trenary) McGaugh. She passed away on Tuesday, October 23, 2007 at Bergan Mercy Hospital in Omaha, Nebraska at the age of 77 years, 2 months and 5 days.

Dot grew up in the Burr and Sterling, Nebraska areas. After completing high school she obtained her teaching certificate and taught rural school for a short time. She moved to Lincoln and finally made her home in Omaha. She is retired from Physicians Mutual Insurance Company. Besides spending time with family and friends, Dot could be found on the golf course which she did often.

She is survived by her Sisters: Gwen Dirks of Lincoln, NE; Jean Ward of Lincoln, NE; Sister-in-law: Lorraine McGaugh of Cook, NE; 2 Nephews: Rich Dirks of Lincoln, NE; Roland McGaugh of Lincoln, NE; 3 Nieces: Sharol Schilousky of Neligh, NE; Connie McKinney of Blue Hill, NE; Patti Kell of Aurora, NE.

Preceded in Death by: Parents, Brothers: Edward McGaugh, Jr. & Gayland McGaugh; 2 Brothers-in-law: Norman Dirks & Lee Ward, Nephew: Jerry Lee Ward, Niece: Lori Woltemath

Funeral Services will be held on Saturday, October 27, 2007 at 10:30 A.M. at the United Methodist Church -548 6th Street, Syracuse, Nebraska 68446.

Visitation will be from 9:00 A.M. to 5:00 P.M. to sign the register book, Closed Casket.

Interment will be in the Sterling Cemetery, Sterling, Nebraska.
