Donald L. Buchanan 85 of Douglas, NE passed away on November 16, 2013 at his home. He was born on February 18, 1928 to Roy & Minnie (Enterline) Buchanan in Rural Burr, NE.

Donald married Delores Kehlenbeck on May 8, 1953 at Luther Memorial Lutheran Church in Syracuse, NE. Don joined the Army and served in the Infantry. He worked as a Dairy farmer for 47 years. He was a member of American Legion VFW Post #5547 in Syracuse. He also served on the Douglas School Board and Church Council at Hope Lutheran Church in Burr.

Don is survived by his wife Delores Buchanan of Douglas, NE, Daughter: Bonnie (Roger) Stott of Walton, NE, Son: James (Gail) Buchanan of Douglas, NE, Son: Michael Buchanan of Douglas, NE, Son: Clint Buchanan of Crete, NE; Grandchildren: Nathan (Amy) Buchanan, Karina Stott, Nicole Stott, Heath Buchanan, Blade Buchanan, Chance Buchanan; Sister-in-law: Virginia Buchanan of Wahoo, NE.

He was preceded in death by his Parents, Grandson: Christopher Buchanan, Brothers: Roy, John, Robert & Rex, Sisters: Ester, Betty & Alice.

Funeral Services for Don will be held on Wednesday Nov. 20 at 1:00 P.M. at Hope Lutheran Church in Burr, NE.

Burial will be at Park Hill Cemetery in Syracuse, NE

Memorial are suggested to Douglas Rescue Squad or Syracuse Rescue Squad

Visitation will be Tuesday Nov. 19 from 9 A.M. until 9 P.M. with family greeting friends from 6 until 8 P.M.
