Donald E. Reichart was born on January 7, 1932 on his family farm in Atchison County, Kansas to Mary (Frommer) and Charles Reichart. He passed away on Saturday, February 17, 2007 at the age of 75 years, 1 month and 10 days.

He attended Atchison County schools and graduated from Effingham High School in 1950. He was united in marriage to Betty Frakes on May 9, 1953 in Valley Falls, Kansas. During his life, he worked as a union carpenter for 30 years and worked for Mutual of Omaha for 10 years before he retired in 1996.

Donald was a member of the Carpenters Union and the Church of the Holy Spirit in Plattsmouth, Nebraska.

He is survived by wife, Betty (Frakes) of Plattsmouth. Daughters Lucy (Doug) Wilson of Council Bluffs, IA, Mary (Kevin) Barmettler of Tigard, OR, Jeanne (Dean) Quinn of Stanton, NE. Sons Donald C. of San Antonio, TX, Gerald A. of Lincoln, NE, Lawrence J. of Cranford, NJ, James S. of Plattsmouth, NE, Andrew M. of Andale, KS, David L. of Des Moines, IA, Carl E. of Plattsmouth, NE, and Roger W. of Plattsmouth, NE. Eight grandsons, eight granddaughters and one great-granddaughter. Sisters Dorothy Briley, England, Velda Smith, Kansas, Yvonne Whitener, Mississippi, and brother Lloyd Reichart, Kansas.

He was proceeded in death by daughter Margaret Mary, sister Virginia Schulz, brother Charles, daughter in law Sandra (Miller) Reichart and parents, Mary and Charles

A Rosary service will be held on Monday, February 19, 2007 at 7:30 P.M. at the Church of the Holy Spirit in Plattsmouth, Nebraska.

A Funeral Mass will be held on Tuesday, February 20, 2007 at 11:00 A.M. at the Church of the Holy Spirit in Plattsmouth, Nebraska with Father Patrick O'Byrne, Father Jirovsky and Father Paul York officiating.

No Visitation at the Funeral Home.

In Lieu of Flowers Memorials are suggested to the Church of the Holy Spirit Endowment Fund.
