Obituary

Donald L. Hopp, 95 of Syracuse, passed away on August 13, 2017 at the Syracuse Good Samaritan Center. He was born in Syracuse to Richard & Leona (Davis) Hopp on March 17, 1922.

Don served in the United States Air Force as a Sgt. from 1942-1946. He married Dorothy Stutt on February 10, 1944 at the First Lutheran Church (North Branch). He worked as a farmer. Don was a member of the American Legion and United Methodist Church both of Syracuse. He enjoyed playing cards and ballroom dancing.

Don is survived by his daughter: Sandra Fowler; sons: Duane (Sue) Hopp, Daryl (Mary) Hopp; grandchildren: David Hopp, Kris Goering, Angie (Danny) Badgett, Lisa Fowler; great grandchildren: Sam & Griffin Goering, Grace, Lyla & Burke Badgett; nieces: Pastor Marsha (Robert) Sebastian, Cheryl (Ted) Leefers; nephew: Dr. Mark (Kristan) Mosley.

He was preceded in death by his parents, wife: Dorothy, sister & brother-in-law: Doris (Jim) Mosley, sister-in-law & brother-in-law: Imo (Roy) Berner.

Funeral services will be held on Thursday, August 17, 2017 at 10:00 A.M. at the First Lutheran Church (North Branch). Burial will be at Park Hill cemetery.

Visitation will be held on Wednesday, August 16 from 9 A.M. until 9 P.M. at the funeral home in Syracuse.

Memorials are suggested to the Family's Choice.
