Donald Lewis was born December 19, 1930, in Wewoka, OK, to James & Orphie (Fanning) Lewis. He passed away, Monday, August 16, 2010, at the Community Memorial Hospital, in Syracuse, NE.

Don married Jane Lemka, on May 5, 1957, at the Methodist Church, in Unadilla, NE, and to this union they raised, Linda, Betty, Clay, David, and Bev. He served in the United States Army, as a Staff Sergeant, During the Korean War. Don was a member of the Unadilla Fire Department for 35 years, Community Fellowship, Massie-Richards American Legion Post #100, he was a Softball Coach, and an avid outdoorsman.

Don is survived by his wife Jane, daughter Linda & husband Keith Liesemeyer, daughter Betty & husband Steve Vodicka, son Clay & wife Diane Lewis, son David Lewis, and daughter Bev & husband Dan Anderson, all of Unadilla, NE, grandchildren Traci & husband Gary Johnson, of Bellevue, NE, Mike Vodicka, of Dorchester, NE, Amy Vodicka, of Unadilla, NE, Marvin Vodicka, of Unadilla, NE, Mindy Liesemeyer, of Omaha, NE, Kirk Liesemeyer, of Unadilla, NE Dan Vodicka, of Imperial, NE, Kirsten Lewis, Leah Lewis, Jon Vodicka, Corryn Lewis, Obadiah Lewis all of Unadilla, NE, 7 great grandchildren brother Glenn & wife Leona Lewis, of Unadilla, NE, sister-in-law Leota Krivokopick, of Santa Ana, CA, sister-in-law Vi & husband Jim Poole, of Murdock, NE, and brother-in-law Leonard Lemka, of Unadilla, NE, along with, nieces nephews, other relatives and friends.

Don is preceded in death by his parents, and sister Edna.

Funeral Services will be Thursday, August 19, 2010, at 2:00 P.M., at the United Methodist Church, Unadilla, NE, with burial at the Unadilla Cemetery. Family suggest memorials to the families choice.

Visitation for Donald, will be Wednesday afternoon, from 12:00 until 9:00 P.M., with the Family greeting friends from 6:00 P.M. until 8:00 P.M. all at the Funeral Home.
