Obituary
Donna Mae Jacobson, 84 of Syracuse passed away on Thursday, April 28, 2016 at the Syracuse Good Samaritan Center. She was born to Louis & Mabel (Balfour) Lockhart on October 15, 1931 in Syracuse, NE.
Donna Mae married Donald "Jake" Jacobson on June 16, 1950 at the United Methodist Church in Syracuse, NE. She and Jake loved to dance and travel. Donna Mae loved and treasured spending time with her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren. Donna Mae enjoyed her beautiful flower gardens. She was a Lifetime member of the United Methodist Church, member of the American Legion Auxiliary and the VFW Auxiliary.
She is survived by her sons Rick (Joyce) Jacobson, of Nebraska, City, NE, Robert (Patti) Jacobson of Beatrice, NE, daughters Sue (Rick) Holbert and Sharon (Lee) Wellensiek of Syracuse, NE; grandchildren PJ (Stephanie) Bryant, of Bolingbrook, IL, Aaron (Erica) Bryant, of Omaha, NE, Lisa (Kevin) Kavanagh, of Lincoln, Lora (Justin) Wright of Omaha, NE, Andrew (Whitney) Holbert of Lincoln, NE, Brian Holbert and fiance Kristin Kearns of Lincoln, NE, Louise Wellensiek of Ames IA and Taylor Ryle of Lincoln; great grandchildren Benjamin, Samuel, Olivia and Nora Bryant, of Omaha, John and Cora Bryant of Bolingbrook, IL, Dani Mae and Dashton Holbert, of Lincoln, Brooklyn Holbert and Jamicyn Kearns Lincoln. Special friend Jean Lytle of Nebraska City and her beloved cat Rudy.
She was preceded in death by her husband Donald "Jake", parents Louis and Lorena Lockhart; Mabel and Elmer Wilken, in-laws Alvin and Sophia Jacobson.
Funeral Services will be held on Monday, May 2nd, 2016 at 10:30 A.M. at Luther Memorial Lutheran Church 1162 Mohawk St. in Syracuse. Burial will be at Park Hill Cemetery.
Memorials are suggested to the Families Choice.
Visitation will be held Saturday, April 30, from 1:00 P.M. until 5:00 P.M., and Sunday, May 1, from 9:00 A.M. until 9:00 P.M. with family greeting friends from 6:00 P.M. until 8:00 P.M. all at the funeral home in Syracuse.
