Lue graduated from Louisville High School in 1950 and pursued teacher training at the University of Nebraska-Lincoln. She began her career teaching in a country school, sharing her love of learning. After marrying the love of her life, Earl Hrabik, on June 15, 1952, at the Methodist Church in Louisville, she dedicated her life to nurturing her home and family.
Devoted to her faith and community, Lue was actively involved with the Louisville Methodist Church and the United Methodist Women. A natural leader and musician, she led both adult and youth choirs, enriching countless lives with her voice and kindness. She taught piano lessons in her home to countless students throughout the years. Lue was known for her talents in needlepoint and for crafting beautiful baby blankets—a tradition she continued with each of her grandchildren. The love she wove into each piece was a testament to her gentle, loving nature.

Her warmth extended beyond her family, as she was lovingly described by many as a wonderful mom and the best mother-in-law—kind, understanding, always willing to help, and unfailingly gentle.
She is survived by her beloved husband, Earl Hrabik, her sons Curt (Cindy) Hrabik of Louisville, NE, Matt (Jana) Hrabik of Cedar Creek, NE, and Mark (Deb) Hrabik of Syracuse, NE.
